Dr. Umair Waheed, DDS
Dr. Umair grew up in the Detroit area after his family moved here from Pakistan when he was a child. After studying Biology at Wayne State University, he earned his doctorate degree at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry.
He went on to serve patients in Chicago for several years where his passion for restorative dentistry grew over time. As he saw the impact that his work had on peoples’ lives, dentistry transformed from a career into a calling.
Working in different environments has given Dr. Umair a broad perspective - and he has used everything he has learned throughout the years to design a practice of his own. He believes in the importance of a welcoming culture, personalized patient care, and attention to detail. And that’s exactly what you’ll find at Opal Dental Group!
Outside of the office, Dr. Umair loves Jiu-Jitsu and exploring new restaurants with his friends.
